Standards for Business Accreditation

Executive Summary

 

A&M University‐San Antonio (A&M‐SA) is a public university within the Texas A&M System which is governed by Board of Regents and operates under the laws of the state of Texas and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. A&M‐SA is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The university currently has over 6,500 students and nearly 200 full‐time faculty. The College of Business (CoB) serves over 2,000 students and is one of three colleges at the university.

Since February 2017, A&M-SA has been working to achieve AACSB accreditation. This has been more than five years of work by the college’s faculty and administration. This represents teamwork by college faculty, staff, and administration. Complete alignment with AACSB standards will further empower our students to leave well-equipped with knowledge and marketable skills that prepare them for rewarding careers, responsible global citizenship and lifelong learning.
