Application Process
  1. Complete the online application for admission for Texas A&M University-San Antonio at www.applytexas.org.
  2. Submit official transcripts from all prior universities or colleges attended.  Transcripts must not be over one year old from the print date.
  3. Transcripts should be sent to:

If previous institutions participate in the sending of secure electronic transcripts (e-script, National Student Clearinghouse, Parchment, or Trans Networks) transcripts must be sent via email to: graduateadmissions@tamusa.edu

4. Pay non-refundable $35 application fee. Some students may be eligible for a fee waiver.

*Admission to the University does not guarantee admission to specific programs. 

**Please be aware if a you apply multiple times, the application submitted most recently (regardless of term or type) will void any previously submitted applications. 


Admission Requirements
  1. Submit all official transcripts (undergraduate and graduate course work) from every prior college/university attended.

  2. Applicants must be awarded a baccalaureate degree from a regionally-accredited institution before admission into a graduate program can occur. Degrees received must be posted on the transcript of the awarding institution.

        • Beginning Fall 2016, students may  be processed with a letter of degree completion from their degree awarding institution. Not all students are eligible for this process. Students will need to contact the Graduate Admissions Coordinator at graduateadmissions@tamusa.edu for specific requirements and to verify eligibility. Please see the attached handout for more information on being processed with a Letter of Degree Completion

3. Applicants must have an overall undergraduate grade point average of 2.6 on a 4.0 scale, or have an average of 3.0 on the last 60 hours of undergraduate course work.

4. Students admitted must also submit official Graduate Test Scores (GMAT, GRE, MAT) by mid-semester of their first application term of graduate courses to register for subsequent semesters.

      • To determine the test and score required for each program, refer to the University Catalog. Scores are valid for five years.

Fall Semester: August 5th
Spring Semester: January 10th
Summer Semester: July 1st

*No application will be accepted after the deadline .

Non-Degree or Certificate Seeking Students
      • are considered transient and are admitted for one semester. If continued enrollment is desired, students must contact their program advisor. 
      • are not eligible for financial assistance.

Graduate Readmission

Readmission applications can be submitted at www.applytexas.org.

      • Students must apply for readmission after an absence of one year.

      • Returning students who have attended other institutions since they were last enrolled must submit current official transcripts from each institution attended.

      • Students who were previously conditionally accepted pending their test scores will need to submit their test scores prior to evaluation.

Attention: Documents submitted to A&M-SA for admission consideration become the property of the university. As a courtesy, original foreign transcripts may be available to be returned to applicants upon request AFTER an admissions decision has been made. 

If you wish to have your original foreign transcript returned to you, you must make an appointment with the international admission specialist, prior to coming to the Welcome Center to retrieve that document.
