PLC Application Process 

Summer and Fall 2017 incoming freshmen can apply to be part of the President's Leadership Class starting December 1, 2016. Our application is housed within the JagSync portal. To access the application, interested students need to log into the system using their assigned username and password. If you are having trouble logging into the JagSync portal please contact the Office of First-Year Experience at 210-784-1399 for assistance.

The application is looking at three main areas: Academics, Leadership, and Character. 

  1. Academics: High school transcript, ACT or SAT scores, and courses taken while in high school.
  2. Leadership: Leadership experiences, volunteer work, honor & awards, and work experience.
  3. Character: Integrity, honesty, and commitment to yourself, the university, and the broader community.


Application opens via JagSync Portal: December 1, 2016

Priority Deadline: February 1, 2017

Interviews: Mid-February 2017

Final Deadline: March 1, 2017 (Interviews being held early March 2017)

Selection Notifications: March 31, 2017

Student Decision Submitted: April 14, 2017

PLC Full Day Retreat: July 28, 2017*subject to change due to availability 

JagX: August 21-25, 2017

PLC Reception: September 8, 2017
